Dancing Literary Classics: Mui Cheuk-yin x Ng Mei-kwan

How does literary classics on the printed page metamorphose into dance movements on the stage? How should the audience interpret the stage world of the dancer’s body vocabulary and imagery? Alongside excerpt footages, Thunderstorm choreographer and dancer Mui Cheuk-yin converses with senior literary critic Dr Ng Mei-kwan, from the creative process, artistic direction, literary input and details of movement they introduce the unique aesthetics of the piece, such as Mandarin jacket and fan dance, and share this cross-media experimental journey where dance clashes literature.
